Tour Overview:
This Royal Rajasthan on Wheel Tour Package offers you an amazing opportunity to explore the royal land of Rajasthan on a train. In this tour, you will visit places such as Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Agra, Khajuraho, Swai Madhopur, Jodhpur and Varanasi. You get to visit various forts, palaces, ancient temples, royal hunting ground and other things which have been a part of the regal lifestyle.
Day 1: Departure from Safdarjung Station in Delhi
This 8-day tour begins from Safdarjung Station in Delhi where the tour executive will meet you and update you regarding the tour. In this tour, you will be taken to erstwhile princely states. There will be ceremonial greetings at the station. Traditional aarti and tikka ceremony will take place. You will be served refreshing mocktails. Once you enter into your respective cabin, the train will depart for Jodhpur. Overnight stay is on the board.
Day 2: Delhi to Jodhpur
This day you will visit Jodhpur which is the second-largest city in the state of Rajasthan. On reaching this Blue City you will Jaswant Thada. This cenotaph was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur. Then you can visit Mandore Gardens. If you have time visit Umaid Bhawan Palace. You can have lunch there. Overnight stay is in onboard.
Day 3: Jodhpur to Udaipur and then to Chittorgarh
.In the morning you will leave for Udaipur which is one of the most popular cities in the state of Rajasthan. In Udaipur, people host lavish Indian weddings. The Havelis, opulent forts and places etc have put Udaipur on the international pedestal. Visit Jagmandir which is a huge 17th-century palace complex. In the afternoon after lunch, you can visit the crystal gallery and enjoy some shopping. Then you will head to Chittorgarh where a story of tenacity, valour and sacrifice unveils. The Victory Tower or Vijay Stambh is the prime tourist spot in Chittorgarh. You must also visit Gaumakh reservoir and place of Queen Padmini. The Light and sound show at the fort is simply amazing. Day 4: Chittorgarh to Sawai Madhopur and then to Jaipur
In the morning you will leave for Sawai Madhopur. People come here especially for Ranthambore National Park and Ranthambore Fort. Sawai Madhopur was the hunting ground of royal family. If you are lucky you will be able to spot the tiger inside the national park. Some other key places to see here are Ganesh Mandir Temple, Padam Talao Lake, etc. Lunch will be served on board.
After that, you will proceed towards Jaipur which is popularly referred to as “Pink city”. Jaipur was painted in pink hue when Prince of Wales visited it, so this why it got the name Pink City. Some key places which you can visit are Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Enjoy outstanding dinner at a popular hotel in Jaipur and enjoy Rajasthani art and dance program. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Jaipur.
Day 5: Jaipur to Khajuraho
In the morning you will head for Khajuraho. Khajuraho is all about ancient temples eroticism, dance and music. You must visit the Jain temples which belong to 9th to 12th century. Govt Approved tourist guide will accompany you to visit these temples and tell you all interesting factual information about the same. Enjoy a lavish lunch at a well-known hotel. Dinner will be served on board.
Day 6: Khajuraho to Varanasi
Today you will explore the ancient city of Varanasi. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the burning ghats. You must enjoy a boat ride on the banks of Ganges. Attend the evening aarti which is truly a divine experience. Overnight is on board.
Day 7: Varanasi to Agra
In the morning you will reach the city of Taj-Agra. Visit Taj Mahal which is an amazingly beautiful temple built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife. You will be provided with the entry tickets to the monument by Govt approved tour guide. You must also visit other key places in Agra such as Mehtab Bagh, Tomb of Itimad-Ud-Daulah, Agra Fort, etc. Shop for Taj souvenirs for your family and friends. Overnight stay is on board.
Day 8: Agra to Delhi
In the morning you will return to Delhi. In Delhi, you will visit key attractions such as Qutab Minar, Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Lodhi Gardens, etc. This marks the end of your Royal Rajasthan tour on wheels.
